Delete your Celestium account & data
Celestium: Cosmic Compass · provided by WithJhinna.
You can delete your Celestium data at any time. What that means depends on where you use
Celestium.
The app
There are no accounts in the Celestium app. Nothing you do in the app is tied to who you are. Erase all my data (Settings) erases everything Celestium holds on this device and in your iCloud.
Your celestium.me account
You can create an account on celestium.me, with Sign in with Apple, to use Premium on the web. That account, and what it stores, lives on the website only; the app never signs in. To delete it, email
dearjhinna@icloud.com
from the email address on your account and ask us to delete your account and data. We complete
verified requests within 30 days and confirm when it is done. Deleting the
account removes everything listed under “What gets deleted” below.
What gets deleted
- Account identity: your email and sign-in provider (handled by our identity
provider, Clerk).
- Saved shareable readings (“renders”): every chart + reading you chose to
save is revoked and removed.
- Linked subscription records: any App Store / Google Play purchase you
linked to your account.
- API access tokens: every token tied to your account.
- Couples invites: every chart-comparison invite you created while signed in
(the encrypted invite object is removed from our relay, so the link stops working).
If you’d like a copy of your data first, request an export in the app or by email before you
delete.
What we keep
- Push tokens: If you turn on notifications, the app registers an anonymous push token with our server, along with your time zone and language, so we can send New Moon and Full Moon alerts. It is not tied to you or to your chart. Your personal transit alerts are worked out and scheduled on your phone; your chart never leaves it. Because a push token is not tied to an account, it is
not part of account deletion; turning notifications off in the app removes it.
- Natal Readings: When you buy a Natal Reading, the app sends that chart's birth data, and the name you want on it, with your purchase receipt to our reading server, which writes your reading. We delete the birth data 7 days after your reading is delivered; the reading itself, which carries your name, is kept so you can open it again.
- Billing records: if you had a web subscription and cancelled it, we keep your
Stripe subscription id and a note of which follow-up email we sent you, and when. These are
billing records, so they are not removed when you delete your account. Email
dearjhinna@icloud.com and
we will erase them.
- Premium on the web keys: If you subscribe in the app, you can use Premium on celestium.me too: the app sends proof of your purchase to our server, which gives your browser a key. We keep only a fingerprint of that key, the App Store transaction id and when your subscription ends, not who you are. A key is not tied to your account, so
deleting your account does not remove it. Premium on the web keys expire with the subscription and are deleted 30 days later. With each key fingerprint we hold only the App Store transaction id, the product and the expiry date; never your name, email, account or device.
What we don’t hold
- Payment details — we never store card data; billing is handled by the
store (Google Play / Apple) or Stripe.
- Store purchase history — your Google Play / App Store subscription and
purchase records are managed by Google/Apple in their own systems, not by us. Manage or cancel
a subscription in the Play Store or App Store.
- Stripe subscription records: if you subscribed on the web, your Stripe
customer and subscription live in Stripe’s systems and stay there; we check them live by
email when you sign in. Cancel or manage a web subscription from the billing portal or by
email.
